Hmm.. for a system that sounds good for under $900, I would get the following...

JVC deck (Cheap, but good)

Cerwin Vega 6.5" three-way (all around)(nice sound)

Sony Explod amps (great power for the money)
interior- 40x4 rms , subs- 100x2 rms

Rockford Fostgate Punch series dual 10" in a sealed box.
(tight and accurate)

what I did was threw in a RF 250a2(really 400 watts)and two 10" punch woofers in a dual bandpass. Lota bass but really drounds out everything else. Wanting to get some components up front and 2-ways in the back.

I highly recommend against 3 way coaxial speakers, IMO they are gimicky. Go with simple components or coaxial speakers for the front. Spend at least $250 here.

Then concentrate on your amplifier and subwoofer choices.

For brands to consider look at CDT Audio, Boston Acoustics, Focal, Diamond Audio, Image Dynamics etc.

For amp choices consider Sony, Alpine V12 models, Orion, RF, Phoenix Gold, Helix, HiFonics, DEI Audio....I could go on....Spend about $300-500 here.

For subs I recommend Image Dynamics, DEI, JL Audio, Adire Audio. $250 or so for a pair of 10's or 12's will do you good.

i'd agree... you wont be sitting in the back seat, and if you're buying subs, the rear speakers are only for fill. spend your money on the front speakers and then amp/subs. rear speakers should be last IMO... if you wanna make it sound really nice, you could get an amp for the front components or all four cabin speakers. i have a clarion 400.4 50x4 RMS. makes things louder w/o distortion.
