Simple and sweet:

I have a 3rd gen maxima with the bose system. I purchased a pair of pioneer TS-A6980, however there is a problem. Since they are 4-way speakers, they are BARELy bigger than the hole provided. I tried shaving a few mm off of the plastic bracket, but it will not fit. I was thinking going from the top--down. However I cannot figure out how to remove the bose screener. Is there a viable solution. I really want to make a clean job so if its not possible, just say so. Thanks for any insights avaliable.

What size speaker are the one's you purcahased? Where is the hole you are trying to put them in? What size hole are you trying to fill?
