amp question

i got a 1000w amp, and 2 1000w 12's, and my setup is bridged right now. i was wondering if bridged the power is 1000w per speaker, or is it 500w per speaker? if so, would it be better for me to get a more powerful amp, or just get another 1000w amp (one per speaker)?

The power will be divided equally providing the impedance of the speakers are EXACTLY the same.

If these are RMS values for both amp and speakers you can add another amp and run one to each sub, however if these are true (reputable brand) 1000W amps and you add another you may also need to upgrade your electrical system as well as wires, you will need 1/0 AWG.
