I plan on trying to keep the stock look of my stereo and I'm looking into a 5-channel amp. The choices that I've been looking at, that won't put a whole in my pocket(Thank God for Ebay!!), is the Kicker 02KX700.5 and the MTX Audio Thunder 895. The only difference I see is a slight power difference and the Kicker comes with a bass control ****. Other than that which one of these amps are better? I know I won't get the full power of the amp b/c I'm keeping the OEM(non-Bose) radio, but I plan on updating that later on. I'm going with the MB Quarts or Infinity Kappas to replace the interior speakers. And then for bass I was looking at getting a 12" L7 in a ported box. Mainly I'm just curious for those who know about the Kicker & MTX Amps, which one is better? Thanks for your help in advance!!!!

 

I would take the Kicker. Not from Ebay of course, but Kicker would have my vote.

Yeah, I have a Kicker running two sets of components--front and rear--in my car. Very nice and clean, powerful amp. Runs 2 Ohms wonderfully!

 

I love my MTX, but kicker would be my next choice of amps.....dont think you can wrong either way.

 

Flip a coin, and hope it lands on the side for kicker.
