Is there a way to add xm to the 6th gen maxima aftermarket? I know the stock radio is xm ready can i just buy and xm box and add it to the system?

 

if the head unit is truly xm ready, i think all you would need is a tuner and antenna. i just added sirius to my kenwood ready head unit.

 

Do you know if the car is pre-wired for satellite radio? According to the brochure for the car, it is going to be a late availability.

 

Since my car is sooo late i am hoping it will coem pre wired!!

 

Update.... The friendly folks over at nissan are checking with the dealer to get the vin# from the car I dont have yet to see if ther prewired it. I think that since it is late avail. they may have installed the wiring hanress therefore I may be able to get the antenna and xm box to intergrate with my factory HU. The same thing is true for many infiniti owners who got cars that were sold with xm as an option.
