Stereo install problems

I Just got my max. Its a 93 with 91k miles. The problem is.... no radio. I was going to put one of my cd players in it but there is no antenna wire. But there is a little wire with 2 prongs on it. Is that the antenna wire, or has it been cut off??? And I dont seem to be gettting enough power to run the deck, it cuts on and off. Any info would be appreciated, thanks in advance

Not sure about the antenna in a 93 but in the 98 we have to get an adapter for aftermarket HUs. The power cutting in out sounds like a grounding problem. Find the grounding point make sure it's tight. Try the 3rd gen forum on the antenna issue also.

you definately need an antenna adaptor. they're 10-15$$. Midknight MAXX is right, check the ground, but depending on the HU try powering it right from the battery. I have an Alpine, and it requires power battery direct.
