Keeep the BOSE?

I just need some people's opinion...

1) I've replaced the stock head unit with a Sony one, and my rear bose speakers with pioneers... however someone just gave me thier old amp (see sig) a kenwood 200w Max stereo amp... should I keep my bose amps in the back and sell the amp? or should i sell the bose amps (both of the rear ones) and just use the kenwood amp? - which will sound better?

And now for a real question...

2) my pioneer speakers say 200w max... how much power can my bose amp produce (max)? BTW my head unit can produce 50w max per chanel.

thanks in advance .

BTW i also posted this in the 3rd gen section.

def. get rid of bose. Your bose amps shouldnt even be able to power your speakers.....

You should be running them off of the head unit.

Use the amp for something, but I think we need some more info on what it is, maybe a model number and how many channels it is.

my pioneer speakers are running fine off of the bose amps (which in turn are running off of my sony HU)

oh yeah, i forgot i changed my sig... it's a 2 channel 200w max per channel amp (kenwood)...

so i should definitely get rid of the bose and use the kenwood?

thanks again.

yeah, you will notice a big difference with that amp in. Just make sure to keep the gains low so you dont blow out the speakers

so you mean have it set to "low pass frequency" (only 80hz or less i think) as opposed to the "regular" setting?

thanks.

no, there should be a "gain" **** for each channel on the amplifier. Take a look at the amp and tell me if you find one.

I was refering to the filter setting... I think i should just leave it on regular... as the otehr setting is for when you are bridging the amp and using it for a sub.
