help with bose...

my 98 max has got the bose system in it....and boy do i hate it lol....ive got subs and an amp i wanna install but i dont kno if i can do it with the bose.....if i buy a new headunit and i still use the bose speakers?....or does anyone kno if the bose headunit as pre outs for the subs or anything....thanx in advance

yeah, I did what you wanna do. I got a line out converter and put it on my rear bose speakers which gave me pre-amp inputs with RCA's for my amp. Wired my amp in, used a spot in the fuse box that worked for a remote lead, so amp on when car is running. I can explain it to you in depth, if ya like. Just lemme know. Good luck. PS: It really does sound nice. Better than I expected.
