Wheel Mounted Audio Problems

Has anyone had a problem with the switch on the wheel not functioning properly. It can really only be the spiral wire or the switch. The dealer didn't know and I took it apart and everything seems tight- Is it covered under the 5/60 because the wiring is part of the airbag harness $280.00. It seems to work if I turn the wheel to the 2 o'clock position. Has anyone any experience with this problem? It is intermittent so of course when I pulled in the pk lot of the dealership it worked fine. FYI, if your in NJ Lynnes Nissan West is hands down best dealership around- customers service and their attitude is great.

I had the same problem about 6 months ago. It worked on and off (would always work when I would get to the dealership too). I told them the problem and they replaced it with a new controller (so it is covered under the warrenty). So far so good, now if they could just fix the rattles and squeaks I'll be happy.

Thanks Vinny...

So that solved it? Just the little $80 switch? I'm beyond the 3/36 but I could try it. Since I wigled the wires though it seems to be more on then off. Great reply though- thanks...if you have any other questions email me at davidpcs@optonline.net I know the max very well.
