LED help?

Foward (supply voltage) 3.7 typ.
4.5 max.

Foward current 20mA typ.
30mA max.

2600mcd

468 typ - peak emission wavelength(nm)

viewing angle - 30

What kind of resistor do I need? This is for my harlan switch. Thanks, Wayne

So whats with the 1/4w , 1/2 w...on the package? Some say 1/4w and some say 1/4w

I use 1/4 watt. the 1/2 watt are huge resistors like 1k ohms

Other than a resister you can wire up a few of the LED's in series to get a total drop of whatever your engine on voltage is. 3 LED's will probably work but may need 4. Depends on how sensitive they are to overvoltage. The one's I am currently playing with are labeled I think 2.2 volts max but seem happy with 3 volts, or a pair of AAA batts. That is another option - just use a seperate battery power supply.
