Alpine is the best all the way man. You cant compare cheap econo class to first class. I had the cva-1005 until it was stolen and I now have the cda-7875. The clarity is amazing.

Alpine (over priced) definately isn't what they were 10-15 yrs ago. I worked off and on for an Alpine dealer from 1987 to 1999. The best Alpine HU was and is the 7909 (circa 1991). Sony became the leader in HU (1993) w/ the XES stuff but Pioneer leads the way now. Excellant integration of components. No other manufacturer does that. I've had 3 people toss their Alpine's for 9400 in the last year. I don't even sell 9400's. They just listened to my car.
Hop on the 940/9400. The 850/8500 sucks! Sucks! Sucks! I sell them so I should know.

My 9400 controlling a 7300 DVD. Can Alpine do that. I can even use a cassette player from 1991 to control it.

MAXIMA.ORG and Pioneer!!!!!

MY SYSTEM: Pioneer 9400> Pioneer 7300 DVD> PPI PAR 225 EQ> PPI FRX322 xover> (2) PPI A404 Art Series Amps> MB Quart components F/R> and Rockford 12" Pros.
