Dynamatted trunk and still rattling

What's up guys. I just dynamatted my trunk lid, but it got dark so I couldn't finish the trunk floor. Anyways, it sounds much better from the interior cabin, but it did absolutely nothing for my stock spoiler rattle. Anyone have any suggestions for that? The spoiler rattle is so bad I can still hear it over my bass from the inside. My rear deck, however, doesn't rattle.

If you can't hear it in the car it really doesn't matter. That is the first thing to remember. Next is that the spoiler while being screwed to the trunk lid it is almost completely seperate. I don't know what people have done that can successfully reduce spoiler rattle. But the place to start is to check the screws that hold it on. Are they tight? If so the next thing to check is the gasket between the spoiler and trunk lid.

Yeah I have a banging system and I used this deadner called Brown bread. It made a little bit difference but there is still rattling from my spoiler and trunk lid. If I can't find a solution I will have to end up selling all my stuff because it dose not make sence to have spent over $3,000 in upgrading your tunes if they don't sound good. Help someone.

you could try putting some rubber gromets under the legs over the bolts (need to be thin) or you could maybe just need to tighten down the spoiler a bit.

There are a lot of large holes in the decklid itself. I filled those with expanding foam except for the ones I needed access to.(taillights, trunklatch, etc.) It comes in an aeresol can light spray paint and you can get it at Wal- Mart or somewhere like that for about $8. Just be careful not to use to much because it's expanding foam and can get between the decklid and the decklid frame causing them to separate. You'll have to remove the trunk to do it and it will probably take a couple of hours for the foam to expand and dry.

You can't honestly hear the spoiler from in the car! You need to get back in the car and start driving. Who cares about how it sounds from outside the car.
