What can I expect from Kenwood W3003 in terms of bass quality?

I was given a pair of Kenwood W3003 tonight. I don't want any type of window shattering base, so I guess these will be OK. I've already been there and done that. I want a more complete sounding car system with just enough bass. I've already got two amps and I plan on getting components for the front and two ways for the rear. I also plan on getting a separate EQ with a separate cross-over even though one of my amps has one built-in. I plan on getting the enclosures built fro the front door speakers before it's all done. But should use both speakers or just one, or should I just upgrade to nicer Subs? Thanks for the responses ladies and gentlemen.
