ever thought about using those ID Horn for your highs? they get stupid loud from as little as 35 watts. heard a setup in town with them mated to four mids, and two 3515 in the back. it was effin loud and clear.

^^^ Theres a guy that I used to know that did sub boxes. He made a Mazda sub box, the Mazda letters were cut out, and replaced with blue and red flashing neons. The sub box was nice, and the car, well it was a crappy mazda. About a year ago, the car got stolen outta his shop, after his car got stollen he left town and never came back, his shop is closed down, but its like he doesnt care about it anymore.

I just installed me subs, and amp, the amp is klinda messed up, like the input is messed up.

What sort of fitment issues are you having? Those 6.5's should fit without much trouble.

well the problem is that the factory speakers have this housing and i cant take the housing off cause its all one piece. now i cant just screw the speakers in the door panel without some sort of housing. is there anyway to pass this? or is this as easy as drilling holes and screwing the speakers in?

The preferred method is to make some 3/4" MDF rings. Mount those to the doors, then the speakers to the doors. The MDF rings are very simple to make. I measure the cut out, set a compass (as I don't have a router) and trace out my inner and outer circles. Cut the inside circle first, then cut the outer circle and repeat. A jig saw will work just fine. There are tons of pics here and around the net and some how-to's attached if you want to search.

Chris

You need to build the speaker out enough so that the magnet will clear the window glass and tracks inside the door.

3/4" should work for most (if not all)of the aftermarket 6-1/2" drivers out there.

oh i forgot to think about that factor thanz. does this mean that i have to make a hole in my door panel to clear the speaker cone from the vibrations? i am getting a 4-way speaker.

It depends on the speaker. You will have to figure that out through the installation process. Every driver has differences in construction and the hieght varies too much to be able to give you a difinitive answer. I would geuss that no door panel modification is necessary.
