03 Head Unit Replacement Help

I have an 03 SE, non bose radio and steering wheel controls, can an aftermarket head unit comply with the steering wheel controls? Is there such an available thing? Would like the upgrade the stereo in this thing, but like the steering wheel controls. Any suggestions?

Yes you can retain the steering wheel functions with an aftermarket head unit. Crutchfield sells an adapter made for this that you can program to do almost anything you want. I do believe the headunit that you want to install must be remote control capable. I may be wrong with this. I suggest calling crutchfield and asking a rep. Remember you don't have to buy from them to ask a question.

yes u can retain your steering wheels controls u jsut ahve to buy an adaptor and its expensive
most likely between 50 to 80 bucks and it works like
a remote so ur headunit has to be remote control compatible
this adaptor come with a sensor at the end which you have to put in view of the headunit to operate

so in conclusion your streeing wheels controls basically becomes your remote by using this adaptor because the adaptor acts like a remote with the steering wheel controls beign the buttons
