Extremely frustrating night
Well, today's install didn't go as planned.......
1. I ordered the PAS SWI-X steering wheel control setup. While it was pretty easy to put in, the damn remote control portion of it has to be pointed DIRECTLY at the head unit. It would be a piece of cake if I could run it up to the sunglasses holder area, but the wire isn't long enough and cannot be cut. I still have yet to find a decent mounting spot for it that actually works.
2. 00 GXE dash kit did not come, so I attempted using the one that Crutchfield sent me for the time being. I misplaced one of the rear support brackets and spent close to an hour looking for it. Turns out that my bastard dog took it out in the yard and chewed it up. Not that it matters, the Crutchfield kit looked like crap anyhow.
3. The Sirius antenna is HUGE. It wouldn't be so bad if the stalk wasn't so thick and long, but no way in hell am I mounting that beast anywhere on the outside of my vehicle. It'll stay on my dash.
