The Eclipse is about $100 more.

 

pay more, get better quality.

 

Base your decision on which unit has the features that fits your needs best. Having said that, Eclipse makes a better HU than Pioneer generally speaking.

Well the Eclipse doesn't have a MOSFET internal amp like the Pioneer. I don't really know how much of a difference that would make. I will be using the internal amp. The Pioneer is on Ebay and the Eclipse of course is from a local dealer so that's why the price is more.

 

Have you talked to Don (Pearl96Max)? He sells the premier units, EXTREMELY HELPFUL, 2 years warranty, ships quickly, man this guy is great. Also, I too searched on ebay and looked at prices... if you decide to go with Pioneer, get it from him. TRUST ME. And yeah, Don can't sell the Eclipse, unless you are local too him.

I don't know what the power specs are on each unit, but MOSFET means nothing by itself.

Never buy new on eBay!! No warranty.

Eclipse has a 3-year warranty if installed by an authorize dealer.

If you buy the Pioneer, yes, buy from Don.

agreed, don is only person i know on here that can give u a great price WITH warranty. Very informative, he has great feedback here and i have bought plenty from him with nothing but positve things to say. And yea, eclipse, u would have to get locally. I prefer eclipse but like other guy said, go for whats best for your needs.
