hooking up 2 amps

hooking up 2 amps

i will be putting an mtx 250 watt peak amp and a jbl 600.1 amp in my 2k2 maxima. do i need to upgrade the battery or anything? will the lights dim? and if they do, is it bad for the hids?

Running 2 amps like that, you may put a load on your alternator, a 2k2 should be able to handle it though. If it does dim your lights, try a 1/2 Farad cap or a 1 Farad cap. Shouldent hurt your H.I.D.'s

im runnig about 900rms on my amps and lights dont dim at all.

I'm running a kenwood 250 to a JBL loud and clear, and mine dim I'm trying to figure out why a 250W amp is putting such a load on my car...

a cap generally won't do anything for ur lights or anything else for that matter all it does is store juice for those instantaneous bursts of deep bass, i installed one on my 240 that the lights dimmed on, and it didnt help one bit

well if its a class a amp then it takes more power to work as compared to a class d amp, which is a mono sub amp i believe.
