2k2 Bose users wanting to upgrade - ANSWERS WITHIN
Ok peoplez: in the Audio FAQ, locate Studman's 2nd post somewhere in the middle (post #23) He has links to all of the info we need...

There's no need to listen to rumors from people that haven't upgraded the 2k2-2k3 Bose, (no offense to anyone) but the old Bose is a totally different Beast.

UPDATE
I just bought the special AOEM-NIS2 Bose-to-RCA level converter from: http://www.affsave.com/pac5.htm
Shipping was free, and it arrived within three days. It includes everything needed to completely add my 5-channel amp to the stock Bose system. I am also replacing all 7-speakers. Call them up, friendly & quick service.
I'll keep everyone posted with the sound system progress.

I added stuff to my 2K Bose with no adapters or anything. 4th gens were the last ones to use separate amplifiers for each speaker with strange impedence levels. I thought this was pretty much common knowledge.
