Flashy Pimp style

My JVC is kind of flashy I like it it's the KD-SX950. Pioneer makes good looking head units, you know the ones where they have the dolphins swiming around and stuff. I also like the new Panasonic head units.

without going to alpine-cva1005 or eclipse 7003 fold out type of screen pioneer p920r or p8200r will probably be your best bet. there is also a cool looking pioneer dual-din unit with a blue screen but its around $1000. good luck

My Premier DEX-P1R has quite a few flashies on it..
no pics of it in action, but it's pretty cool.

also my old KEH-P8200 and DEQ-9200 deck/eq combo had even more flashies... no swimming dolphins or anything, but lotsa blinky lights.

plus the good thing- the green buttons matche the Max interior very well.

Uhhh, actually I know of four or five right now who have P1Rs..

You.

Remington (bought his the same day I did. took me another 3 months to actually RECEIVE it)..

Me.. bought back in Feb of 2000.

Don in Tx. his remote is in much better shape than mine, because he takes it inside with him.. I just throw it on the center console and the corners are all scratched up.. oh well. I don't care about that much detail anymore. I'm not competing seriously this year.

you got pics of your install? I'm sure you do..

here's mine, since we're both trying to post as many pics of our toys as possible.

DOH.. sorry bout that.. I completely forgot you had the huge webpage of your install, until AFTER you posted.

I've got a nasty writeup I did on mine, but none of the pics and links work since I've restructured the directories.

i don't like kenwood head units....i would go with a pioneer deh9200(y2k model) or a deh8000r(same thing but a '99 model) it has a motorized face and a great display....alpine is suppose to be real good for head units...i don't know the model numbers, but they make some nice ones.

My Alpine CVA-1005 is extremely flashy. People love it. Why not one of those? Custom patterns, colors, etc. Hook up a PC to it and do some WinAmp visualizations and you'll have people driving next to you just so they can look at it, which admittedly gets old quick...

They need to start making these head units alot brighter or something cuz I don't know if its just me but I hate the freaking glare I get and can't see what station its on or the volume....it sucks.
