recommendations on a system
Well this winter break i plan to put a system in my 97 nissan maxima with bose system. here is what i have researched so far and have come up with:
headunit: JVC KD-SH9750 plays mp3s/wma/cd $240, most i wanna pay is $250
sub: infinity perfect 12.1D $140 or elemental design http://www.edesignaudio.com/ep2/12k.htm
fronts: infinity 60.5cs components
rear: uhh..dunno...suggest me something
mono amp: JBL BP600.1 $190
wiring: what do i need?
sub enclosure: infinity recommends a 1.0 cubic feet sealed box...where can i get that?
2 way amp: JBL P180.2 $135
do i even need this or will the deck be sufficient to power the components
what else do i need? nothing is totally decided so i am up to suggestions for any of the parts. i am mostly looked for the best price/performance and my budget is around $800 but i will spend a lil more if its a very noticeable difference. going for sq not spl

Sounds good so far, I had the jbl 600.1 for about a year i think and loved it, enough power and a very solid durable amp, just remember theres no subsonic filter on it which may play a part in a SQ set up but other then that its a great amp. Also check out the pioneer 7500 head unit as i said on somone elses thread, its got plenty of features on it and it also plays mp3's, pioneer makes some very high quality head units, maybe a lil better then a jvc. Wiring you'll need the usuall, good quality rca's, 4 guage power wire for the amp, along with a remote wire and 4 guage ground wire, also a fuse holder of some sort. I've learned not to skimp on wiring, i think its street wires that makes a lot of nice conecting products like a nice solid ground terminal and things like that, and if you really wanna go all out pick up some nice battery terminals, they make wiring much easier...sounds good so far though, good luck and enjoy, research first and buy once....
