Self-Install of Sirius Radio

I'm looking to install a Sirius Satellite Radio System into both my maxima and my dad's 04 Mercedes Benz ML500. Has anyone done this? I have a Kenwood Xcelon KDC-869 which is Sirius Ready, so all I would need is the Tuner and Antenna and 'Antenna Adapter' (Audio Express told me this) for my car, and for my dads I would need an FM Modulator, Tuner, Antenna, and Antenna Adapter. Is this correct?

Has anyone installed it themself? It doesn't look too difficult, the tuner looks like it has minimal connections to it...Imput please! Thanks!

very easy for the kenwood ready. i have a kenwood excelon KDC-559 (i believe) which is sirius ready. all you need is the tuner and antenna. tuner is in the trunk.. one wire from tuner to antenna which is sitting on my back deck. one wire from tuner to back of head unit. then just follow the instructions to get the service set up. very simple for the sirius ready head unit. unfortunately i'm not familiar with the other.

I have Sirius. I've had it since Feb of this year. I'm using the old Kenwood FM modulator with my Pioneer head unit.

Pics of my friend's Sentra that I installed:

Does the antenna work well in the interior? I was told that Sirius antennas drop out a lot if installed in the interior by the window.

Zach, I got the XM installed, pretty much the same thing...It is really easy to do, and the hardest part was actually hiding the xm tuner box (hidden in the dash). I know with the pioneer xm tuner, you have to get power and ground to it, so make sure you mount it somewhere you can get actual power, bud.

We dont have repeaters in my area. So I get drops under bridges and stuff.

But, my interior mount doesnt drop any more or less often than the roof-top mount on my truck.

Installed mine two weeks ago. A lot of work to get it done, but well worth it.
