Actually you dont. They are easier when they are Not specifically made for manual provided it is done correctly.

Provided you use the neutral safety switch, it is very simple to do a manual compared to an auto, it is only one extra wire. I know this with DEI as that is all I try to use, but Im still not all for manual tranny remote starts. I have done a few Maximas, but only because the NSS wire was available therefor I knew it would be safe.

I was wondering how to apply the neutral safety wire.
On the crimestopper alarm, you wire both the automatic and manual cars the same exact way, except with a manual you follow a procedure uppon exiting the vehicle to make sure the car is left in neutral. It might be a bit more work every time you get out, but I think that it is the safest way to remote start a manual.

I just went thru all that. it's too big selection to choose from 
ended up with Audiovox APS 996A, just have no time to instal it.
Has good instalation manual.
