hey, i have a sony cdx-c8¡0x deck, 12' kicker comp and a kicker amp, and it works well when i listen to the radio, but right when i stick a cd in, the amp automatically shuts off. is there a reason for this? thanks

 

You most likely have the amp connected to the wrong lead on the radio. It is connected to the power antenna and Not the remote turn on.

i agree, its prolly connected to the power antenna lead... if im not mistaken, plug it into the blue lead behind headunit...

 

i had it on the blue lead and thats where i had my problem, but i was playing around and connected it to the blue w/ white stripe and it works now. only thing is that i cannot adjust the sub volume now

 

then hook it up to the accessory wire (red wire) it will still turn off when HU is turned off.
