all depends on what brand it is.. some are just video monitors and stuff.. others are full-fledged head units, TV tuners, TVs, Cd players, all in one..

what brand and model is it?

Check first

Check if it's legal first, some places do not allow you to have TV screans whre the driver can see them and they are strict about that stuff too.

I don't recommend Koss products at all.. they're cheaply made and will fall apart in months.

If I were you, I'd save up a little extra money and buy a used Alpine CVA-1000 or 1005.

In my opinion, neither is the Alpine, BTW. Mine sucked. I ripped it out and went the PC route...

koss tv

i just installed one in a bmw 318is.... the antenna they supply u doesnt have the right adaptor to fit so u have to buy a real diversity antenna like another extra 60 bucks... the brain is pretty small can fit under the seat or in the passenger foot well... the cord is not long enough to go to trunk.... the pic is not bad... the unit IS NOT MOTORIZED its all manual ... the changer is slow.... but the per fromance is not bad..out of all the tuner i used this tuner picked up all the channels... it have front a rear out puts and has 2 video in puts..... u need to buy and antenna extension cause the antenna plugs in to the brain not the tv unit....ok overall not bad...those of u guys who want a lil tv and want to mack and make everyone go ohhhhh ahhhh..this is it... but if a real guy who spent the big bucks on the top of the line stuff will be like it looks good but mine is better

if you want a really nice unit i prefer the eclipses or even better kenwood p907. but kenwood retails for almost $2000. otherwise, pick up a slightly used clation fold-out from ebay. nice thing is they have detach faces.
