Interconnects

Hey guys. I got an Eclipse 32440 4 channel amp. I'm gonna be running it in 85x4 @ 4 ohms.

I'm so confused on what wiring I need to get. I asked at another car audio forum but no one is much help.

How many interconnects/RCA cables do I need? I'm guessing 4 right? It sucks how almost every wiring kit only has 2. So I guess I have to buy seperate interconnects. What length do I need? The amp will be in the trunk.

Also how many watts does the wiring kit I buy have to be rated? Since I'm running 85x4 does that mean I need to buy at least a 340 watt wiring kit?

Also someone on the other forum told me to get an 8 gauge kit. Is that right?

Thanks for any help guys.

ok you will need 2 pairs of RCA's. I'm guessing that you have an aftermarket cd player with 2 sets of preouts so you'll need one rca for the front speakers and one for the rear speakers. Just buy this from knukonceptz and you'll be fine http://www.knukonceptz.com/detail.as...uct_id=KOLAK44 if you want to save 8 bucks you could buy the 8 gauge kit and be fine but you might as well get the 4 gauge so you have room to upgrade. I've bought like 5 kits off knukonceptz for friends and it's some of the best wiring you can get, very high quality. good luck

Cool man, that will be all I need to install?

What about the battery block thing where the wires connect to the battery? Don't I need one of those?

Thanks a lot man.

if you order that kit from knukonceptz it will come with everything you need. To hook the power wire up to your battery the kit comes with this and you don't need to buy it http://www.knukonceptz.com/detail.as...uct_id=RT4516R

If you want something that looks a little better you could order this but its probably not worth it i've never used one.
