remote start problems HELP!!

I bought the crimestopper cs-2015fm. I cant get the remote start to work on my car. I have a 98 maxima, 5spd. Everything is connected properly I beleive. When I attempt to remote start the car, I hear a noise in the engine bay, but the car doesnt start, after usualy 2 "attempts", the remote notifies me that the car is started. Do I need a clutch bypass? What could be the problem? I tried the timed crank with the same results.

Did you try pressing the clutch in when you remote start it?

tryed that, and it did the same thing. The noise in the engine bay is nothing like I heard before. By the way, I am using the tachless mode, and I tried the timed crank. does ignition2 have anything to do with this?

there is only one ignition wire, but there are two starter wires. You did hook up noth correct? Also ALWAYS use a tach especially if its available.

I dont remember the color, but it is the one that reads ground when the clutch is depressed. You can bypass it via a relay Only when engaging remote start. Use the "status" lead off the alarm or you can also use the factory disarm wire.

thanks for your help. I finnaly got everything working. The clutch bypass was alot easier than I thought. All I had to do is run the factory alarm disarm wire(ground when remote start) to the yellow/red wire on the clutch switch.
