Can I drill here?

I was working on my system in the trunk and I need to mount a power distribution block right around where the red circle is.... I noticed it was kinda close to where you pump gas but also near the wheel well. I'm not sure if there is really anything on the otherside, anybody?

btw, I drive a 4th gen maxima

thats your wheel well and pretty shure its all hollow back there. If your just going to drill holes for screws then I think your ok.

i only have as much wire as you see in that picture which gives me little room to run it that high up. from what everybody saying it's just the wheel well and there should be no important lines behind it so I'm just going to drill there.

I hate drilling any part of the car for 2 reasons. First, I'm scared of drilling into something, and second, it degrades the integrity of the car.

There are so many ways of attaching things such as zip ties, double face tape, velcro, etc.

double side tape it? velcro? or if you dont want to see it then just zip tie it on that black wire you see in the pic and put the plastic trunk liner over it so its hidden.
