Hock it up to ground first and then use a resistor to charge the cap. I don't know what rating the resistor should be I think someone told me use a 10 ohm resistor.
once you have the cap grounded hold the power wire near the cap's positive lead touch one lead of the resistor to the cap and the other to the power wire this will slow the surge of current going to the cap so it will not hurt you or damage any components. I hope someone knows the value of the resistor that you should use.
Don't hold the resistor with your bare fingers use a something that has insulated handles.
