Hey guys. I now have everything I need to hook up my new speakers and amplifier. Since I'm a complete newbie at this I just got a few quick questions before I start working on the installation.

Everything currently plugged into the head unit(by everything I mean the harness with a lot of wires on it and the antenna wire) remains plugged in right? All I gotta do is plug the RCA cables in right?

Ok second question. This is what I really wanted to know. What happens to all the stock speaker cable in the car now? I just leave it there? No more power will be running through the wires once I unhook the stock power connections to the battery right?
