5th Gen Bose and satellite: can I use an auxiliary input?

Got a 5th Gen Bose setup and want to go with satellite. I want to add on and keep the Bose.

Some of the literature mentions using the receiver's "auxiliary input". Does the 5th Gen Bose have this? Or, will the wireless FM modulator work just fine? I don't know what an FM modulator is. I do not want to use a cassette adapter.
