sounddomain.com is my personal fave, but like R5a7B said, try the audio forum.

I dont know if they were trying to persuade to buy from their store, but the last time I was the the shop that installed my stereo, they said a couple of people came in with rockford fosgate amps from sound domain. Something was wrong with the amps, so they were sent back to the manufacturer, and RF confiscated them because they had been stolen.

Heard and dealt with the same thing with some of my customers. Reason for a place like Crutchfield being more money is because they allowed to sell the products they sell and are backed by the manufacturer as well as following their guidlines. 99% of these others stores are not supposed to be selling the products and who knows where they come from. Onlinecarstereo.com actually has some litagations against them now pending.

I have saved tons of money purchasing from Etronics. By far the best prices I have seen on the web. That'st my two cents.

thanks for everyone's help.. i looked at all those site and checked on ebay.. something that caught my eye on the etronics.com website was that they do not take any returns on Alpine HU and DVD players... the price was the same as the one i found on ebay for $239.99 for the alpine cda-9811... it also said that it carries a full 1 yr warranty and the seller has excellent feedback. thanks for all ya'lls opinions and help

Not sure if you already bought it, but www.bestpriceaudiovideo.com has the 9811 for $239 and they are an authorized Alpine dealer. Most of their reviews seem to be good ones....think they're the #1 online electronics retailer.
