not really, some are more insolated to reduce noise in the speakers, but make sure u get the right gauge wires for ur amp, don't go for a 4 gauge if u have less than 1000 watt amp, and rca jacks make sure u get some good ones that are insolated cause they will make ur bass or what ever ur hooking up to the amp more clear, i wouldn't get the kit cause sometimes they don't have that good of a quality or some wires i would just get like maybe 20 foot of amp power cable and u can use that also for the ground, and make sure that they are insloated that is the most important thing i think, i have bin installing systems ever sence i was like 15 so i ran across every type of wires out there and u can really notice if they are good or not, im my system i ran a 4 gauge but i would also wrap it with some tape that people would use on their hands and fingers when they play basketball, im sorry forgot what it was called but that should insolate it enought.

For power wire.. its all the same, as long as it is oxygen free your ok. But when it comes down to it the RCA's matter. Ive read and read and read about this. I just assume go with a respectable brand.. I like to fall back on my brands if something were to ever go wrong.

Monster cable is really great to work with becuase its flexable as compared to other wire that is very stiff and a pain to move around

i just have some generic 4 gauge power and ground cables. i used to have a RF 8 gauge wiring kit when i had my old amp, but since have upgraded to a bigger amp. I kept the RF RCAs since i figured they're better quality then the generic stuff.

Ditto to good RCA cable, the rest doesn't really matter. Just pick a color you like and run with it. Just make sure you don't under size your cables for your amp. And scrape the paint off for the ground. (Friendly reminder)
