Getting new rear speakers, what should I get?
Getting new rear speakers, what should I get?
I have blown my rear speakers, I'm guessing a combonation of cold and loud music, anyway I'm getting new ones. I'm either getting Kenwood eXceleons or Infinity Kappas. I have Infinity Kappa Perfects up front and an Infinity sub in the back and a Kenwood eXceleon X-869 head unit.
Here are the two speakers I have in mind:
Infinity Kappa 63.5I 6.5" speaker

Kenwood eXcelon KFC-Xr601 6.5" speaker

my friend got kenwoods all around, spend a lot of money but i didn't like them and i had infinity gold in my jeep those were really good and they were worse quality than the new infinity speakers because mine came with the jeep as a gold pack....
I'd go with the Infinity....My friend and I recently just installed a pair of infinity reference series mids/highs in his car. Reference (i believe) is a downgrade from kappa as well.....his Reference series sounded great so i can imagine the kappa would b fantastic as well. Infinity is a great brand as well. Go w/ the infinity, deff. not kenwood.

i'd go with bostons or polks ex's before either... i've owned the references and their cone is very brittle
(had them in rear deck of my last tinted car-and the
cone shattered in 3 months- decent highs if using high pass
