New Rockford Fosgate Line of Equipment

For those who have not seen, Rockford Fosgate has an all new line of car audio equipment from amps to subs. Appears to be some very nice high quality stuff from what I've seen so far. Crutchfield actually has some of the items (subs) on their site already.

I saw there new stuff last week on there web site. I don't really like the new look all that much. Fosgate has been and always will be a force to be reckened with in mobile audio. I can't wait to see them in action though.

I kinda like the new look of the amps, maybe not the power series. I'm not sure if I like the quality of rf's older(as in not these brand new) subs, but I like their mid-highend speakers and amps.

IMO fosgate is just overpriced underpowered overhyped trash to sell to kids who recognise the name. most real high-end products aren't sold at best buy anyway if you catch my drift.

Still not much competition for Adire Audio or the old orion HCCAs though. It's too bad that the new orion is heading nowhere.

yeah, i'm down with anything Adire or Image Dynamics as well. The Audiomobile 12s however come so close to beating the Brahma but just fall short by a hair haha. Adire is definitely a force

yea and you can grab those audiomobiles for a really great price usually too. imagine showing some kid with a civic who just paid $2000 for a fosgate setup what you can do with an Adire or Audiomobile setup that cost you like 1/2 what he paid.

I'm looking into subs right now on eBay trying to get a good deal.

Can get an old school Oz audio 250L cheap, an elemental designs 12 inch O series, IDQ 10 or 12 of course, or found some nice audiomobiles even though they're out of business.

Elemental Designs will service audiomobile subs though so it's all good.

I'm a die hard stereo man and i'll have to say.. fosgate isn't that bad at all.. they are quiet expensive though.. i have a 1000 BD fosgate and it's kicking a$$. its hooked up to my kicker L7 12in and let me tell you the bass is crazy.. i had to have my trunk sealed with dynomat to keep the trunk from blowing off.. i also have a zapco which to me is one of the best, but i'll give fosgate a 8 out of ten overall..

yea i might have been a bit out of line with that statement, fosgate doesnt sound particularly bad, but for half the price, i could build a far better ysytem with other brands. i would say for sound they get a 7/10 on their subs and a 3/10 on their amps, but for price 1/10. and people say JL is overpriced :P
