Can I get some feedback on this audio system?

This is going to be my first "real system". Going after SQL. I will most likely be dynamatting the whole car.

Alpine H700 (haven't decided on amps yet)
CDT Euro Sport Components in the front
CDT CL6x coaxials in the back.
2 Eclipse 10" or 12" Titanium Subwoofer

There will be no head unit. An in-car computer will be going to the h700. I was told that it would be good to get a center channel to take full advantage of the h700, where/how should I mount this?

Thanks.

thats a nice sub, dont over pay for it. For SQL get a 12" though

great component speakers

I suggest getting the CDT CL6x coaxials for the rear, they were designed VERY well to serve their purpose.

I love the in car computers

Thanks Kontakt I prob will be going with the CDTs in the rear. Didn't care for the Eclipse there. Are you sure about the 12"? Everyone i've talked to recommends the 10" titanium. Should I get two 10" maybe?

the CDT's are on www.thezeb.com for very low prices.

I would def. reccomend one 12 over a 10, because the 12 can hit some lower frequencies at less volume than the 10" can due to cone size.

the 12 will have much better ambience at low volume...

I would also advise to go sealed rather than ported.

My fav mix for SQL is a sealed 12 with about 800 RMS going to it

if possible, definately get a 12" or better 2 12" when i added another 12" to my system i was more than twice as happy! i would say either 1 15" or 2 10" or maybe even 1 12" would do you fine. it all depends on how much bass you like in your music. those eclipse Ti hit pretty hard so you'd be happy with whichever choice you make. CDT makes great speakers. personally, i'd choose the CL6x since they sound awesome and can be had for a great price.

^^^What they said. I have 2 kicker 12's, and I am SOOO much happier with two than one. Two can rattle windows on other people's cars too, if need be.

My only other suggestion would be to go with a ported box, not sealed. I have my 2 12's in a custom ported box built to spec, and porting it allows it to be tuned to hit the notes clearer.

Thanks for the help guys! Now just to decide which amp to use. Any advice on center channel? Should I have one? Where and how should I mount it. Thanks.

Orions old amplifiers are very good. I love them. I would definately recommend the old orion, or the kicker amps. Autotek makes good amps too.

How much are you paying for the subs. You can probably get something better for the money. Eclipse is really expensive.

What you recommend then? Was prob gonna spend about $750 on two 10" titaniums. Might be able to gather a little more if there is a big difference in quality.

Go with the Magnum D2. Not sure how popular/known they are on these forums since I just started reading them but I think you posted something similar on a car audio forum? Ask around there if you want to know more. Awesome SQ and SPL. I've got mine in a 2 cube 29hz ported box and I couldn't be happier and for $300 shipped you can't be the price. You can find them at stereointegrity.com

If you're gonna spend that much i would go with either 2 Phoenix gold Ti 12"s or 2 JL 12W6v2. you could get both for probably less than 750.

either of those 2 are good. i have pg ti 10s and love them. i heard there are some quality issues on the 12's though. they are hard to find on the net, except ikesound has them for $100 each 12" which is not bad at all.

Anyone heard they CDT Eurosport Midbass/Midrange. Wondering if they are good or not. They are like 3x the price of the CL-6's.

I was talking with Don (Pearl96max) and he says that the titanium subs are really for competition and would overpower the rest of your system. I told him I wanted to upgrade and get the titanium's and he said that the Aluminum series would be enough and they would sound great

I'm looking for a SQL setup. If the titaniums will overpower the CDTs what should I get, Focal maybe? edit- I'm looking to compete in the future. I just want to buy the right stuff the first time so I don't have to go upgrade later.

Well, that's smart. I really don't know too much about car audio to give you advice. I'd advise you to PM Pearl96Max. He's well educated in the field of Car Audio
