wiring amp wire to battery

Are there any predrilled holes through the firewall where I could run my amp wire that anyones knows of, or do I have to drill my own holes. I have A 96 SE, and pics would be great if possible>

i drilled my own. the only whole i could find was for the hood release, but you need that. i just drilled the hole right next to it , and ran the wire with the hood cable.

hmmm... i must have missed that hole. i don't know what size bit i used, but it was for an 8 guage wire. now i'm upgrading to a 4, and using a grommet from crutchfield. they list what size hole to match the grommet to match the guage.

it's a pretty big hole heh maybe it's only 97-99 but i think u have a bunch of wires going in as well there is a rubber thing around the wires so the water doesn't get through the firewall so i just took a screwdriver made the hole a little bigger and pushed 4ga wire through......

BLACKonBLACK98, wouldn't wiring it with the hood release wire involve me taking off my left fender? cause I tried to follow the hood wire fron the front back and it dissappears into a hole in the left fender

take the splash guard (plastic) off under the fender, above wheel. Its a bunch of star screws holding it in. U may have to jack car up or turn wheel to get at the screws... then there's a hole by battery where wires come out.

there are a couple of holes already. there is no need for drilling. look closly they are covered with like a rubber seal just pop the seal and there you have the hole already. Ill take some pics of where I got mine through.

you still need a clean and continuous power source. that battery in the trunk will die out pretty quick if you hook an amp to it. basically, when you hook your power wire to your battery in the engine compartment, the system is getting power from the alternator once the the engine is on. the alternator also keeps the battery constantly charged.

i have a 96 se and didnt need to drill holes. there was a perfect size hole to the left of the steering colomn in the fire wall. your gonna need someone with a small hand to push the wire through at first. also the rubber grommet that came with the kit fit perfectly in the hole.

nope no plugs. after you get the wire started through just stick your head underneath the dash and pull the rest of the wire out with your teeth.

i think I have found this hole but there is a screw there. I tried to push it out but it didn't work.

You are talking about the one with the 3 green hard wires in front of it right?
