Looking for suggestions

I have the stock Bose system in my SE, and I like it well enough, I am just looking for something a little more. I was thinging about an amp and a subwoofer. Can I get just these on the stock speakers or will I run into issues? Also, what is a good amp and subwoofer to use? Sorry guys, don't know too much about audio. Thanks.

I didn't want to spend too much money, but I want good sound quality, with some bass (not too much). I'm looking for something pretty basic I guess, but I want it to be good quality. HU, amp, subwoofer(..s) is all I really plan to do, if I even need that much.

allright if u have the bose system u will have to buy a $50 converter from best buy but i've heard rumors that u can bypass it somehow so i'll get back to ya when i learn more. for headunits i would look into either alpine clarion or pioneer. i got my clarion 835 off thezeb.com and it was $219 shipped. i would definately recommend the cd player a lot it has 4 volt preouts, auxilary input, motorized faceplate, 700+ colors, mp3. for subs and amp i would look into one 12" alpine R dual 4 ohm(around $100) and a jbl 300.1 (around $140) and wire it to 2 ohms. if u want to be able to upgrade later on u could get a dual 2 ohm alpine R and a jbl 600.1 and wire it to 4 ohms and then when u buy another alpine R, wire them to 2 ohms. for wires i would buy the 4 gauge kit off knukonceptz.com, very high quality kit and cheap, like 35 bucks. finally youd have to buy a box and its up to you how much u want to spend on that. i could get u a fiberglassed box to fit in a corner of your trunk and painted any color for around $150. or you could always make your own. that is about the cheapest good system i could think of but if u need more suggestions or if you want to spend a little more just get back to me i got plenty of ideas. later

Thanks a lot. I have hear good things about Alpine, and I was looking into going that route to tell you the truth. This sounds like what I am looking for, right price range too!
