Great pick for an amp! I hope everything works out with the install and that the subs sound great. Here's where I stuck mine:

In order to make it fit under the power seat motor axle, I had to cut away the carpet and padding, and bolt it directly to the metal panel underneath (with a layer of neoprene for isolation).

If you have the 4xxx series, yeah, its probably a couple inches longer than mine, which I believe will create a conflict with the seat rails. I'll check later tonight, and post how much clearance I have on each end of the amp before it hits the rails. you can sort of see from the picture based on the location of the seat mount bolts.

As for sound quality...I have it hooked up to subs (two 10" Type Rs). I think they sound great. And the amp doesn't get very hot. I haven't cranked them all the way up yet, because I'm still kind of wearing the subs in, but they start to rattle my front door panels before I can get them to the point where I feel like the amp is straining.

I'm actually impressed with the Maxima's trunk...I don't get much rattling at all. The only thing that does is my muffler (which hopefully I'll fix with some sort of clamp soon).

I'm impressed by the Soundstream amps, even the cheapos that we bought
