I saw that brand at the Swap Meet in my area this morning. Total knock off, but hey it might just kick up some bass.

Its a cheap swap meet amp. Low quality components, made look pretty like all the swap meet stuff is. Any product with an imitated brand name is usually crap.

1600 watts? what’s the rms? (Probably no more then 400)

If you have decent subs, sell this amp and get a better one. These amps sound distorted, and wont last you long.

Rockwood has been around forever and they are almost always associated with flea markets, swap meets, blow out sales, etc. I think the only way it will put out 1600 Watts is if it's hit by lightning.

Feel bad for you since it was a gift and it's not like you can say no to that.

it will definately work, but it wont throw nearly that 1600w (even for max power)

its probably hoping to be about 400w rms x2

which should go right with those subs you have

if it makes you happy and does its job it was a good gift to get

thats one sexxy amp

If you can try to exchange this amp for a rockwood 2 channel, that would be better for your subs.
