i'm thinking about getting these in my 3rd gen.

2- 10" JL audio 10w0's in a sealed box. ~125w RMS ~250-300w peak
with maybe an Audiobahn a2300 amp ~300w x 2

what do you guys think about this setup? i listen to all types of music: rap, rock, alternative, punk, etc. i want a nice, clean, bump in the trunk. i don't want to have too much power that will cause stuff to rattle and fall off my car.

That setup sounds good and the 10's are really good for different kinds of music. About the shaking, they will still make your car rattle reall good if you supply enough power to them, it's good to have the abillity to go louder than you need to.

BUCKTOWN: You have one clean a$$ max..... Looks really good.
As for the 10"subs. They should sound really good in your car. 10" suns will hit alot harder than sy 12" subs and plus take alot less power. There is one thing i noticed on the 3rg gen max's, in the rear seat there is no opening to the trunk. So what you might have to do is cut out the hole behind the armrest with a utlity knife, to allow for proper ventalation for the subs. I can guarantee that they will sound alot louder if you do this.

For the juice id reccomend going with Kicker, Fosgate, Eclipse, Phoenix Gold, Alpine, or another reputable company.
