bose stereo skipping issues

lately when i listen to a cd in my car, which is like always because i cant stand the way the antenna looks on our car, every time i hit the slightest speedbump, bad spot in the road, or man hole cover my bose system skips. is there anything i can do to stop this besides getting rid of it alltogether?

Try using a cleaning cd for the laser. It might work. It is probably just dirty and needs some attention. I think you ought to be able to pick one up at Walmart or Hoopers or something.

I would have the same problems too,

shes a 1996, SE and when I hit certain bumps, CD skips.

I'll try the clearner kit and see if that works.
