Trying to access stock tweeters
I just replaced my Bose system. I ran new wires directly from the new HU and now I can't hear the stock tweeters. Can I access them by hooking up the stock left and right channel off of the harness?

the stock tweeters are usually wired into a crossover which is installed in the door (usually).. now if you can wires directly to the front speakers im guessing you did not hook them up.. locate the cross over (sometimes its just a capacitor on the tweeter, if thats the case then just tap the tweeter wires into the wires you ran)
hope this helps, lemme know if i can help anymore

cool... um, I'm not sure what any of that looks like, lol. I'm pretty noob to stereo equipment. When I ran the new wire, I took the crossovers/amps out of the door, and I used the stock enclosures. Am I going to have to look in the A-pillar? or will I have to put the crossovers back in?

you can just tap them in, but they need to have some sort of bass blocker on them to prevent them from trying to play bass, just high's... you can just goto a audio store and purchase some for your tweeters then tap them in!

no no no, its ok you dont sound dumb, just uneducated about these things which is ok, we all cant know everything
you can tap them in anywhere, tap the positive wire from the tweeter into the positive to the front speaker, same goes with the negative, hope that clears it up a bit
