Existing hole to run wire through the firewall on 5.5 gen?

Sorry, I'm sure this has been posted before, but I couldn't find it anywhere. Is there a hole in the firewall I could run a small power wire through (I'm powering my DDE's to an in cabin switch) or do I have to drill? Thanks guys!

Drivers side just past the shock tower you will see a wire bundle going into the fender. You can use that area as it will feed into the fender. Shove the wire into it, then remove a phillips head screw under the fender, the two phillips heads holding the side-body molding, and two pops that hold the fender splash guard up (remove or move the splash guard to the side). You will see your wire hanging and also see a rubber-booted grommet allowing wires to run into the vehicle. You can shoot through there and the wire will come out behind the hood latch.

Thanks for the tip Aud. It took a lot of work to get that fat wire through the rubber boot, but it worked. That baby is a tight fit. Maybe a little lube would have made it easier

Not a prob. I used 8ga and it was a pain as well. Mostly trying to get it around all the connectors where it comes through. I'm sure a little K-Y or oil would have helped

I was going to replace the front door speakers while I hade everything ripped apart. What the hell is that paper thing in there? My speakers won't fit unless I make a spacer of some sort. Is that what you had to do for yours?

Yup. You need either a spacer/adapter or you could use the original speakers as an adapter. Rip out the cardboard and cut out the basket, then you can screw the new speakers into the plastic frame of the old speakers and you are good to go.

See the gutted stock speaker in the top left:

And the final installed new speaker:
