well for one, her newer car has better stock speakers. are you still running stock speakers on your max? if so, basically anything will be better.

You are not going to get much bass from aftermarket speakers without an amp powering them.

The reason stock system have more bass, is because they have 15 watt speakers which are designed to work well with a stock 100watt systems.

You can try getting low end, low wattage BRAND name speakers if you going to run them off your deck. (Infinity reference series might work)

Polk Momo are real good speakers that need to amped, to get full potential out of them.

Anyone who thinks momo's speakers sound like subs, obviously never hear a quality sub in action

i bet ur moms stock speaker is paper also, i remember reading somewhere how paper is the best medium for delivering bass. something about it delivers a pure rich bass with no distortion and how it is flexible. it also stated how aluminum cones are good at staying linear, and some other stuff about composite cones, i think i saw it at crutchfield.com.

cone flexing = bad. if it was good, companies wouldn't try to develope techniques that increases cone rigidy.

JL speaker will give you the richest bass. not sure about how they would sound powered off a HU, but i'm sure they'd still sound pretty good. you should probably pay the extra $80-150 for a good MTX amp for them though.

the highest rms power a blaupunkt will put out is like 27 watts rms, that is too little to power any subs

i dont have to have the speakers amped though it would be nice. dont ave a clue on how to do any of that though

i think i might just steal my mothers speakers when she is gone one day and give her my......speakers.......lol they are okay speakers and she doesn't listen to anything louder then what you can talk over......so im sure they will sound nice......i just hope they will fit

I've actually got 2 sets of Infinity Reference 6002i 6.5" speakers if you're looking for better sound inside the car...pm me. You don't want to put an amp to factory speakers unless you like replacing them.
