Need help installing a noise filter

Hey can anyone tell how to in stall one of these [url]http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&category%5Fname=CT LG%5F007%5F002%5F004%5F000&product%5Fid=270%2D051[url] its a noise suppressor filter deal from radio shack the guy at radioshack said to install it inline with the amp but that doesnt seem like its a good idea. help please!

It only handles 10 amps, so it is pretty useless with most aftermarket audio installations. Read this concerning ground loops and track down the actual cause of the problem: http://www.audiocontrol.com/techpapers/tech1002.pdf
