not sure what to do..on the remote i can lock and unlock my doors but the panic button and trunk button dont work...someone told me to change the battory in the remote to see if that works..but i dont think its gonna be that bc ive locked my doors and tryed to open them to see if it would go off but it didnt so if anyone knows what could be wrong plaes let me know...

A little more info would help. What alarm is it? Who installed it? When? Did the problem just start? Etc...

 

well when it started im not sure because i just got it like a week ago from the car lot..as for what kind im not sure on that im thinking its what came with the car because the remote say nissan on it...its been like this since i got it...i did look at the anti theft fuse to see if it was blown or just plan bad and from what i can see it still looks good...if you can think of anything to try that might help im all ears if not ill live with it like this for now till i get the cash for a new alarm...

 

hey i have a similar problem...i just bought a 99 max se from a private seller, everything was fine till i drove it home when i found out the alarm doesnt work right...both remotes worked intermittently, after semi-successfully reprogramming one remote the only thing that doesnt work is the alarm and panic buttons....perhaps disconnecting both battery terminals to reset the system??

 

As far as the panic feature goes..you have to hold it for a few seconds for it to activate. Im not sure if you tried this, but only thing I can think of. Does your horn still work?

With the trunk release, do you have a lever on the driver side floor? Or a button on the driver door?

i got a trunk button on my driver side door and i havent tryed holding in my panic button yet but i will....for the trunk do i have to hold to button for that to work to????
