hey guys,
i just bought a 99 max se from a private seller, everything was fine till i drove it home when i found out the alarm doesnt work right...both remotes work intermittently, sometimes i can arm and disarm, other times i cant....this is with both remotes. i tried reprogramming them but still get the same problem. another thing that is wierd is that when i can arm the alarm, it beeps twice(always thought 4th gen alarms were silent). I also noticed that its a passive alarm (arms itself after 30 seconds) - didnt know that was an option on a 99 (or is it not a factory alarm???) the remotes are factory - nissan style w/the purple arm button....windows can roll down as well(when the button works). anyone have an idea what the problem can be??? i would really appreciate any help
