Viper791XV Alarm Install on 2000 Maxima
Anyone done this before? Where are all the wires I'll be needing to access and how best should I dissassemble the car to get to them? If someone has some step-by-step instructions that would rock. I have the wiring diagram, but some first hand info is always best.

You will need a few more things than just the alarm. You need 2 relays - one for your trunk and the other for your second starter wire. Also your lock wires are in your door so you will have to run 2 wires into the door (lock/unlock.) You will also need the DEI 555U and a copy of your key to keep in the car at all times, since 99's and up have a chip in the key to start the car. I can email you if you want a pdf of all the wires you will need, their color, polarity, and locations for your car.
I ran a separate 10 guage power wire from the battery just for the 791...you will be tapping into A LOT of wires.

Lock and Unlock are Not in the door.
Theres no need to run a 10awg to the battery, but I figure that was just Your preference.

The power wire was my preference....mainly for my window modules to get enough power.

Going into the door was needed on all the 4th gens, as well as 2k2/2k3s. On the 2K and 2K1 it wasnt needed, thus making them some of the easiest Maximas to do. Also unlike the 2K2 and 2K3 you can use just one door trigger lead rather than the 3 that the 2K2/3s have needed to use all of them and diode isolate.
As far as the second ignition you can actually just cut both leads, tie together the starter side and run into the purple lead of the RS. The main wire on the key side would go into the green wire of the RS. Disregard the key side of the second starter. Maybe this will help ya in the future and save some time.
