any1 have a profile amp?....

i was at crutchfield.com and was looking at some amps, and i saw this profile clarus amp (sliver and gold) and it looked sweet, i like the way it looks, but does any1 have this amp or one from profile? is it a good brand, or of good quality? if i can find it cheaper someplace else, i might get it. here is the link to the amp:

also, can someone help me out in finding a good pair of subs to go with this amp, i'm not looking for something, cause this is only a 200watt x 2 amp, but i think that two 8" or 10" would be great, but again, i dont want to spend a lot, kinda low on cash.
thanks.

I have to agree that it does look nice. However, I'd not be one to buy it at the moment. Though I had a Profile amp a LONG time ago that lasted me for 5 years. The newer stuff just doesn't seem as robust since they went with form instead of function. Flashyness doesn't mean it's a good amp inside. I'd wait out on this amp unless you see a good review from a reliable source like a magazine.
On the other hand if you're looking for a cheap powerfull sub amplifier you can't go wrong with an ESX Quantum Q1752. We are clearing them out and they are the real deal.....
175Wx2 at 4 Ohms and 500W bridged mono into 4 Ohm. Also is stable to 2 Ohm mono via a special True Mono (one channel mode) at 450W. These are true RMS numbers at 12.5 volts. $265 shipped.
I also recommend US Acoustics amps, they are inexpensive but they are reliable and they don't fudge their numbers. You can find them at Crutchfield or from us...

thanks for the input....
i am not going to buy that amp, doesn't seem as though many people like it. i was thinking that if i bought i nice looking, good quality amp, i would be able to display it, like in the trunk or something. but i really dont want to display an amp that doesn't look that great (boxy, square), but usually the ones that dont look good are the ones that give better sound and are of better quality. so canuckamp, what amp do you recommend, something good, inexpensive, looks decent, and i dont need too much power.
btw, you mentioned something about a us acoustics amp, any of those amps fit my description?

Yeah the US Acoustics amps are quite decent, affordable and to some people they look great. Take a look at the USX and UST models on our site or on Crutchfield. For a single sub that doesn't require alot of power a USX-2150 is probably a good choice.
Also the UST-2085 is a decent amp for you,it's 2x85W @ 4 Ohm and 280W bridged to 4 Ohms.... Price is under $200 or close to it.
